WHY ADVERTISE IN THE SINGAPORE MEDICAL JOURNAL?
A monthly peer-reviewed medical journal and a major publication in the region since 1960, SMJ aims to advance medical practice and clinical research by publishing papers that benefit the medical profession locally and around the world. It has a strong educational mission, with its monthly continuing medical education (CME) programme being approved by the Singapore Medical Council. In February 2012, the SMJ acquired its first Journal Citation Report impact factor of 0.73.
SMJ is mainly accessed through its website and has a much wider readership regionally and internationally, beyond the local membership of the Singapore Medical Association, which stands at about 7,500.

With the newly upgraded SMJ website, advertisers can now showcase their services/products to a larger audience of local and overseas doctors. SMJ changed its access policy to online-only on 1 July 2016; this means that a majority of the SMA members (except for a small minority who opted for hard copy) are accessing the journal electronically.
Online banners, which appear prominently on multiple webpages, are expected to attract a high number of impressions and generate greater interest among readers.
